Car Wrapping

Car wrapping is a practical way of changing the look of your vehicle without an expensive paint respray by using a car wrapping film. With a so-called vinyl film, all painted body parts can be wrapped on the vehicle, i.e. covered with the film, so that on the one hand the paint of the vehicle is protected from fading, but above all the personal colour and design wishes can be implemented with relatively few resources.

Colours

The large selection of available colours and surface effects offers almost unlimited possibilities for your own creativity and can be individually adapted for each special vehicle type. 

From special metallic effects, colour changing optics with different incidence of light, brushed surface structures to embossed carbon-like surfaces, there is a huge range of colours and finishes of car wrapping films. 

Depending on your own personal preference, several colour and effect films can be combined in one design. With professional car wrapping films, optical effects can be created that cannot be achieved with painting or only with plenty of time and effort.

Installation

In order to wrap the car completely the professional installer needs the vehicle for a few days. The vehicle is not only wrapped with the film but also cleaned. Preparing the car, including cleaning, which is important and necessary in order to install the film, makes up a big part of the working time. 

However, a vehicle does not necessarily always have to be completely wrapped. With a partial wrapping in addition to the vehicle paint, individual and stunning design effects can also be created.

Films

Not every self-adhesive film should be used for vehicle wrapping. Especially when it comes to a complete wrapping of a vehicle and a long durability is estimated, only car wrapping films developed for car wrapping should be used. For this purpose a special type of film, the so-called cast polymeric softened vinyl film, is used, which has proven itself over many years and decades for this application. 

Other types of film, such as calendered and possibly monomeric softened vinyl films are only suitable to a very limited extent for long-lasting wrapping, in which the films are adapted to the shape of the vehicle component. One then speaks of a 3D-Wrapping; the films are deformed and stretched three-dimensionally. Calendered film types do not offer the performance spectrum for 3D wrapping. And especially monomeric softened films show only a short durability due to their raw material composition.
